Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipalities and Transport announced the Musaffah Innovation District initiative and outlines for its Musaffah Revitalization and Development Plan on October 1. The source says the first phase, running to 2030, includes about 100 hectares of development-ready land and the 8th Street and E30 corridor projects. The second phase, from 2030 to 2035, is planned to release development blocks larger than 100 hectares across investment zones.

At full implementation, the department expects the plan to raise the emirate's GDP by 12.3%, contribute AED227 billion annually and support about 269,800 jobs; these are projections, not realized outcomes. It expects 26% of the jobs to be high-skilled. Initial priorities include automotive services, warehousing, cold storage and modular construction materials; the later phase includes semiconductors, electric-vehicle and aerospace supply chains, hydrogen and life sciences.
