Argentina, Bolivia, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Malawi, Mauritania and Zambia announced country partnerships or compacts with the World Bank Group on 16 October. The plans set priorities and measurable targets covering reforms, infrastructure, skills, investment and benefits for local communities.

The announced plans include modernising licensing and geological data, strengthening environmental and social oversight, and developing transport, energy and local suppliers. The World Bank Group says it plans to increase metals and minerals support fivefold to US$19 billion between FY2026 and FY2030, combining its financing with private capital mobilisation. The country plans are targets and reform agendas, not completed investment or disbursement.
