Vineyard Wind and GE Vernova announced a September 16 settlement to resolve outstanding commercial litigation concerning the project. GE Vernova withdrew its termination notice, and both parties agreed to dismiss pending claims.
Settlement terms remain confidential. The announcement addresses commercial relations for an offshore wind project serving Massachusetts and New England’s electricity supply. It does not disclose a new turbine order or a compensation amount.
In an IEA scenario, electricity could cost-effectively supply 33 percent of final energy use by 2035; projected import savings are not realized outcomes.
