Uzbekistan's eight-month foreign trade reaches USD 57.4 billion

The National Statistics Committee reported USD 57.4 billion in foreign trade turnover for January–August, with exports lower and imports higher year on year.

Uzbekistan's foreign-trade turnover reached USD 57.4 billion in January–August 2026, up USD 4 billion, or 7.6 percent, from the same period a year earlier. Data released by the National Statistics Committee on 2 October show exports fell 3.4 percent to USD 22.9 billion, while imports rose 16.3 percent to USD 34.5 billion.

Goods exports excluding gold increased 28.7 percent to USD 11.5 billion. The committee said Uzbekistan maintained trade relations with more than 200 countries during the period. China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Türkiye and Afghanistan accounted for the largest shares of total turnover.
