Ghana’s government and the UN Country Team agreed on four priorities for UN support from 2027 to 2030 after a three-day strategic retreat: social and human development; economic transformation and job creation; governance, peace and institutional strengthening; and environment, climate change and natural-resource management.

The retreat brought together government, UN entities, development partners, civil society and private-sector representatives. After discussions with approximately 60 participants, the group settled a preliminary strategic direction. Drafting and further stakeholder consultations will follow; the UN’s 2 October release says the framework is not yet final.
