TÜNAŞ and USTDA launch advanced reactor research

TÜNAŞ and USTDA will examine small modular reactor designs from four US companies and five fourth-generation reactor designs, according to the 22 September announcement. Licensing is also within scope.

The USTDA-funded project is expected to last at least one year. The grant agreement signed at Türkevi supports research; it does not constitute a decision to build a new power plant.
