After a 12 October meeting between the government and fuel distributors, TotalEnergies said it would pass through about 10 euro cents per litre at its 3,300 French service stations. The company also said its €2.25-per-litre diesel price cap would remain in place.

It separately announced a 20-cent-per-litre discount on non-road diesel for farming, fishing and public-works users, measured against the international diesel price, and a €200-per-cubic-metre discount on domestic heating oil. The measures are due to run from 1 November 2026 to 31 January 2027; these are company commitments for a future period.
