TGS and SLB announced the second phase of a multi-client 3D seismic survey offshore southern Brazil in the Pelotas Basin. The planned survey covers approximately 11,200 square kilometres; the vessel was scheduled to begin work in October 2026, with completion expected in the second or third quarter of 2027.

The announcement concerns seismic data acquisition for exploration, not a discovery, reserve estimate or approved development. The survey is multi-client: TGS said it will acquire and market the data with SLB, with timing and coverage subject to the announced program.
