Hive Hydrogen South Africa awarded Técnicas Reunidas a FEED contract for a green hydrogen and ammonia facility in the Coega Special Economic Zone. The proposed Nelson Mandela Bay plant targets approximately one million tonnes of green ammonia annually.

Front-end design covers electrolyzers, air separation, ammonia production, desalination, storage and pipelines to the port. Transition from FEED to EPC depends on engineering outcomes, approvals, financing and a final investment decision. The current award is a FEED contract.
