Syria amended parts of its customs tariff schedule through Decree No. 188 of 2026. A business-sector representative told SANA that the revisions cover entries for medical supplies, renewable-energy equipment, essential foods and industrial raw materials.
The decree updates descriptions, codes, duty rates and application conditions in the harmonized schedule adopted under Decree No. 110. The report does not list the revised rates for individual items; the stated aim of lowering costs is not evidence that market prices have already fallen.
