Recreational-vehicle exports from Rongcheng in eastern China’s Shandong Province reached 1.57 billion yuan in the first nine months of 2026, up 10.2 percent from a year earlier, according to customs data cited by Xinhua. An English-language Xinhua video report published October 25 said the city accounts for more than half of China’s RV exports. Its full Chinese report was published the previous day; the figures describe January through September, not output on October 25.

Rongcheng’s export value came from seven RV manufacturers above the statistical size threshold and more than 50 component suppliers, the Chinese report said. The supply chain includes composite panels, windows, furniture and mattresses, electrical and water systems, and chassis modifications. Firms can coordinate component supply and vehicle assembly within a 50-kilometre radius, and local sourcing accounts for about 40 percent of parts and services, according to local customs and industry data cited by Xinhua.

This network is one reason the city’s manufacturers emphasize customization and export readiness. The English Xinhua report points to custom designs, a concentrated supplier base and faster customs clearance as factors helping companies reach overseas markets. The Chinese report describes a shift toward digitally supported customization and new materials. It does not quantify delivery-time reductions, export destinations by value or the number of vehicles sold abroad, so those results cannot be inferred from the export-value total.

Rongcheng’s export growth also sits within a larger national trade expansion: China’s customs administration reported total goods trade of 39.94 trillion yuan in the first three quarters, up 18.8 percent year on year. That national figure is a separate measure and does not mean RV exports grew at the same rate.

The reported export value is a customs measure of goods shipped from Rongcheng during January–September. It is not production value, company revenue, profit, or the value of all China RV exports. The more-than-half national share is stated in the English Xinhua video caption without a denominator or separate method; the article therefore preserves it as the source’s description rather than calculating a share.

Methodology

Rongcheng customs data cited by Xinhua report RV export value of 1.57 billion yuan for January–September 2026 and 10.2 percent year-on-year growth. Xinhua’s English video caption says Rongcheng accounts for more than half of China’s RV exports, without publishing a denominator or separate calculation. The source reports the local Rongcheng value; the registered geography is China. The value is shown in billion CNY; the reported growth rate and market-share statement are separate percentage measures. Export value is not production, revenue or profit. The 50-percent-plus share is retained as a lower bound and is not recalculated.
