Surge Battery Metals announced results on October 2 from a pre-feasibility study for the Nevada North lithium project in Elko County, Nevada. The joint venture is owned 67.5% by Surge and 32.5% by Evolution Mining; the study assumes an open-pit mine and on-site lithium carbonate processing.

The study estimates after-tax net present value of US$9.81 billion at an 8% discount rate and average output of about 92,250 tonnes per year over a 42-year mine life. These are project estimates based on study assumptions; the company has not announced a final investment or construction decision.
