The Bank of South Sudan posted its January–March 2025 macroeconomic review on October 2, 2026. The report puts month-on-month headline inflation at 1.38% and food inflation at -0.68% in March 2025; monthly headline readings in January and February were 9.61% and 7.61%, respectively. It attributes price pressure partly to limited domestic food production and identifies August 2024 as the CPI base period.

The central bank reported exports of US$564.19 million and imports of US$814.77 million in Q1 2025, alongside a US$250.58 million trade deficit. It also reported a 67.21% decline in reserves. These are historical statistics in the newly posted report; the bank describes a 2024/25 fiscal-year growth projection of 4.0% separately as a projection, not an observed result.
