Maharat Al Injaz signs structural works contract for SMC3 hospital in Riyadh

Specialized Medical Company (SMC Healthcare) announced on 28 September 2026 that it signed a contract on 27 September 2026 with Maharat Al Injaz Company Limited. The contract covers the foundation, construction and full structural works of the SMC3 Hospital project on the Northern Ring Road in Riyadh. Its value is SAR 148,447,428.50, excluding VAT.

The works follow the approved drawings, specifications and bill of quantities, and the contract runs for 360 calendar days from site handover. SMC3 is designed with 296 beds and 200 outpatient clinics, and the company said it will include a helipad for emergency services and the transfer of critically ill patients. The company said it will finance the project through internal resources and/or bank facilities, as required, and that no related parties are involved.

SMC Healthcare expects construction of SMC3 to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2028. It said the project’s main financial impact on its results should begin when the hospital starts operating, which it also expects in the fourth quarter of 2028.
