Slovenia’s industrial production value rises 4.8% year on year in August
The statistics office said gains in manufacturing and energy supply outweighed a decline in mining.

Slovenia’s Statistical Office reported that the value of industrial production was 4.8% higher in August 2026 than a year earlier. Manufacturing rose 5.3% and electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply rose 8.8%, while mining and quarrying fell 31.5%.
From July to August, total production value increased 1.6%; capital-goods industries gained 7% while consumer-goods industries declined 2%. The cumulative value for the first eight months was 0.9% higher year on year. The office says monthly comparisons use seasonally and calendar-adjusted data, annual comparisons use calendar-adjusted data, and the latest six months are provisional.
