Saipem said on June 3 that it lifted the Bouri gas-recovery module onto an existing offshore platform. The Rosetti Marino-built module weighs more than 5,200 tonnes.
The milestone does not establish gas production start-up. Post-lift review needs separate acceptance records for hook-up, safety systems and commissioning. Placing heavy equipment and verifying operational performance are different delivery steps.
