Rambus announced a power-management integrated circuit for LPDDR6 SOCAMM2 memory modules on October 13. It said the part expands its LPDDR server-memory portfolio and was developed with ecosystem partners, including Micron.

Rambus says the PMIC and an SPD Hub provide module-level power conversion, sequencing, telemetry and fault protection. LPDDR6 SOCAMM2 remains in development; the PMIC is sampling to lead customers. No independent power-efficiency result was disclosed.
