Eliyan introduced its Nexus and Oscar NuLight chiplets on October 14. Nexus uses a 1.6-Tb/s electronic link-conversion circuit to distribute one high-speed electrical link across lower-rate parallel channels; Oscar provides electrical interfaces for microVCSEL and photodiode arrays.

The company said the modular design scales from 1.6-Tb/s OSFP to 12.8-Tb/s XPO and has an initial optical-reach target of about 50 metres. That reach is a design target; both chiplets are sampling to customers. Claims are company statements.
