Qatar News Agency reported on 15 October, citing the Ministry of Municipality, that domestic production met 99 percent of Qatar's demand for fresh poultry and dairy products in 2025. The same indicators put the domestic share at 67 percent for fresh fish and 47 percent for basic vegetables.

The ministry issued the figures ahead of World Food Day and linked them to a food-security strategy that combines production with resource conservation and lower environmental impacts. The figures measure the share of demand covered by local output in these product groups; they do not mean that domestic production met the same share of all of Qatar's food needs.
