Pakistan’s maritime minister called on 3 October for faster work on a one-door facilitation centre for port-related businesses in Karachi. The ministry said the planned service is intended to bring government processes for port trade under one roof.

The meeting also reviewed proposals to simplify ship and fishing-vessel registration, maritime and fisheries policies, and projects at Port Qasim and Gwadar. The release describes work in progress and does not say that the centre has opened.
