October 6 deadline for Birecik–Aleppo electricity line applications

EPDK opens an application window following Levant’s proposed export licence amendment.

EPDK’s September 21 notice says Levant Elektrik Ticaret applied to amend its licence for electricity exports to Syria over the 400 kV Birecik HES–Aleppo line. The request covers isolated-area supply for two years from the amendment date.

Eligible licensed entities seeking to use the same interconnector have until close of business on October 6, 2026 to apply. The notice describes an application procedure, rather than a final export authorisation or confirmation that power flows have started.
