NVIDIA announced a new deployment option called Confidential Bare Metal on 21 October. The company said it is designed to let model builders run sensitive workloads on dedicated third-party infrastructure while retaining control of their models and data. NVIDIA said new security controls protect data in transit, measure platform integrity and enforce hardware-level access restrictions.

NVIDIA Confidential Computing now includes Bare Metal, Containers for Kubernetes environments and Virtual Machines for virtualized environments. Support is extending to Grace Blackwell NVL72 systems and x86-based HGX Rubin NVL8 and DGX Rubin NVL8 systems. NVIDIA described integration with DSX OS as a future reference architecture for AI factories; it did not say that integration is complete.
