Nigeria’s federal government and states pledged to strengthen coordination to take the Nutrition 774 initiative down to communities and households. Officials said Nigeria and Ethiopia would develop a roadmap after the Nigeria–Ethiopia Nutrition Leadership Exchange concluded in Addis Ababa on October 9.

Jigawa Governor Umar Namadi said about 600 women had been trained through the state’s Tom Brown programme to make nutritious food for children. Officials described nutrition as linked to health, education, agriculture, water, sanitation and social protection; the release did not report new outcomes or a completed national roadmap.
