Nigeria’s Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Director-General Nnanyelugo Ike-Muonso urged manufacturers to prioritise local inputs and value addition at the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria’s 54th annual general meeting in Lagos. The council’s October 7 report described NISSRAMP as an existing sourcing platform that maps raw-material and supplier information to Harmonised System codes.

MAN president Francis Meshioye said total exports in 2025 were ₦85.13 trillion, of which manufactured exports were ₦2.50 trillion, or 2.94%. The RMRDC chief advocated a 30% local value-addition requirement, but the report does not say the related bill is in force. It also did not announce a new launch of the existing platform.
