Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation reported that the Renewed Hope Initiative food outreach programme was officially flagged off in Katsina State on October 17. Kaduna State First Lady Hafsat Uba Sani attended, and Katsina State First Lady Zulaihat Dikko Radda hosted the event.
The ministry said the programme is intended to provide food assistance to vulnerable households and ease economic hardship. Its report gave no beneficiary count, food quantity or budget, and did not say that distribution had been completed.
