The Netherlands imported 545.9 million kilograms of steel products subject to EU trade-protection measures from outside the bloc in 2025, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) reported. Imports in the covered categories had peaked at 1,207.6 million kilograms in 2021 and stood at 613.1 million kilograms in 2024.

The series covers only specified steel products subject to EU safeguards, not all steel imports. CBS also notes that sanctions against Russia and Belarus affected trade flows after 2022.
