The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), working with Renaissance Africa Energy, launched a technical training programme for 60 Nigerians at Nigeria Machine Tools Limited in Osogbo. The programme is linked to Renaissance’s EPU Phase 2 Gas Development Project.

The 12-month course combines six months of classroom instruction with six months of supervised on-the-job training. Its areas include engineering design, fitter machining, machine-tool operations, CAD/CAM, electrical and mechanical maintenance, and document control. NCDMB said the initiative is intended to address technical skills gaps in the oil and gas sector.
