Minesto said on 21 October that it had been selected for the Sweden–Indonesia Sustainability Partnership, a Swedish government-backed initiative connecting Swedish companies with Indonesian stakeholders. Under the initiative’s Sustainable Energy Programme, Minesto will work with Business Sweden to identify partners, explore financing access and advance commercial project development for its tidal technology.

The company said the work builds on its existing Indonesian business development, including feasibility assessments with local partners for a possible tidal-energy project at Nusa Penida, southeast of Bali. The announcement records selection and planned collaboration; it does not announce a construction contract or a project investment decision.
