Kalinga had 221,481 chickens on July 1, 2026, down 27.66% from 306,148 a year earlier, the Philippine Statistics Authority said in a report released October 2.

The count on smallhold farms declined from 301,790 to 183,075, while semi-commercial farms increased from 4,358 to 38,406 birds. The agency attributed the province-wide fall chiefly to the reduction in the smallhold segment; it reported no commercial-farm chicken inventory at either comparison date. These figures are a stock count of birds present on farms, not output or sales.
