Petra reports Jordanian and Syrian environment ministers discussing drought, water scarcity and border ecosystems. They agreed to prepare a comprehensive memorandum.

Signing is envisaged during COP31. Sustainable water management and monitoring are priorities; the announcement does not establish an already signed final memorandum or financed project.
