Halliburton announced on September 15 that Eni awarded well construction and completions for Cronos in offshore Cyprus’s Block 6, covering exploration and development wells.
The package includes drilling fluids, directional drilling, automation, remote operations, cementing and well testing, supported by regional infrastructure. Neither contract value nor well count was disclosed, and the announcement does not report completed new wells.
In an IEA scenario, electricity could cost-effectively supply 33 percent of final energy use by 2035; projected import savings are not realized outcomes.
The utility’s long-term plan projects lower emissions despite rising electricity demand; its solar, battery and reverse-osmosis targets are not completed outcomes.
