Eni awarded Indonesia’s Sapukala exploration block

The company holds a 100% interest in the Kutei Basin licence.

Eni announced on September 24 that it secured a 100% interest in Indonesia’s Sapukala block in the Kutei Basin. The offshore area lies in approximately 1,000–2,500 metres of water.

Eni reports completing a new seismic acquisition programme covering the block to support exploration assessment. This is a licence award, rather than an announcement of a Sapukala discovery, proved reserve volume or production start.
