A six-minister Guinean delegation met AfDB leaders in Abidjan on 9 October to discuss mobilizing finance for priority projects under the Simandou 2040 Programme. Working sessions covered energy, infrastructure, transport, agriculture, value chains and private-sector participation.

The parties identified priority projects with an estimated total cost above US$7 billion for support over the next five years and agreed to continue technical preparation. AfDB said its existing Guinea portfolio stood at 22 operations worth US$544 million as of 30 September, with more than three-quarters of commitments in energy and transport; the identified pipeline is not a new financing commitment.
