U.S.-based Gevo said on October 1 that it had sold substantially all of $70 million in Section 45Z clean-fuel tax credits generated by its 2026 production. The company said it had received more than $30 million in cash by September 30 and expected the balance over the following six months.

Gevo said it sold $50 million of credits on September 30 to a publicly traded non-financial company, after an earlier $20 million sale to Quill Financial. Its separate expectation of $7 million to $10 million in additional credits for 2027 is a company forecast, not a realized result.
