Florida Power & Light (FPL) said it restored electricity to more than 188,000 customers during the first 24 hours of work after Hurricane Isaias. Crews worked through the night across the Florida Panhandle, while fallen trees, vegetation and debris restricted access in some communities, the company said.

FPL reported deploying nearly 17,000 restoration personnel from 29 states, operating 15 staging sites and 15 customer relief sites, and completing 189 drone and helicopter flights for damage assessment. The utility’s statement that it expected to restore 95% of storm-affected customers by the end of Monday was a target, not a reported outcome.
