FAO issued on October 14 a resource guide focused on agrifood systems to support Target 10 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The target calls for sustainable management of areas used for agriculture, aquaculture, fisheries and forestry, including wider use of biodiversity-friendly practices.

The guide is designed to help countries reflect the target in national goals, actions and indicators, align relevant policies, and strengthen monitoring and reporting. It does not prescribe one approach: it presents options adaptable to national circumstances and emphasises participation by producers, Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
