Euro area house prices rise 4% annually in the second quarter

The EU recorded a 4.7% annual increase and a 1.2% quarterly rise.

The house price index rose by 4.0% year-on-year in the euro area in the second quarter of 2026, Eurostat reported on 1 October. The EU increase was 4.7%.

Prices rose by 1.1% in the euro area and 1.2% in the EU compared with the previous quarter. The index covers new and existing homes; the figures are not seasonally adjusted.
