The European Commission published workplace cybersecurity findings from a new Eurobarometer survey on 30 September 2026. Three in four employees in the EU said they had encountered suspicious emails, messages or links at work; 39% reported phishing attempts.

Respondents also reported attempts to steal personal data (18%) and passwords (16%), malware (17%) and AI-generated scams (15%). While 83% said cyberattacks could have serious consequences, 48% said they could recognise an AI-generated fake video. These are employee survey responses, not verified counts of organisational breaches.
