EU tourist accommodation establishments recorded 1.321 billion nights in the first half of 2026, Eurostat reported on 1 September. This was 1.7% above the 1.299 billion recorded a year earlier.
Foreign visitors accounted for 48.9% of overnight stays. Nights are different from unique tourist counts: one guest staying several nights contributes several stays to the total.
Investment commitments reported at end-June were 141 percent higher than in 2021. Oman also outlined port cargo, refinery capacity and dry-dock activity.
The platform will focus on the Qatar Investment Authority’s local portfolio. The government also outlined five-year expectations for US$38.5 billion in infrastructure projects and US$22.5 billion in private investment.

Total value rose 13.1 percent in the first half of 2026, while non-oil exports increased 23.9 percent. The figures also show a higher export share within total trade.
