EU short-term rentals booked through Airbnb, Booking or Expedia recorded 258.8 million nights during April–June 2026, Eurostat reported on 2 October. The year-on-year increase was 5.3%.
The release provides second-quarter national data and first-quarter regional data. The platform series covers a different population from the series for all tourist accommodation establishments, so their totals should not simply be added together.
Investment commitments reported at end-June were 141 percent higher than in 2021. Oman also outlined port cargo, refinery capacity and dry-dock activity.
