Etihad and Southwest add reciprocal rewards on eligible flights
Members of Etihad Guest and Southwest Rapid Rewards are due to earn and redeem rewards on eligible flights across both airlines from spring 2027.

Etihad Airways and Southwest Airlines announced a partnership between their loyalty programmes on 16 October. Etihad Guest members will be able to earn miles on eligible Southwest flights and redeem them for reward travel across Southwest’s network.
Southwest Rapid Rewards members will likewise be able to earn points on eligible Etihad flights and use them for reward travel across Etihad’s global network. The reciprocal earning and redemption arrangement is planned to begin in spring 2027; the announcement concerns loyalty benefits rather than a route or codeshare launch.
