Egypt and World Bank discuss mining-sector roadmap

Planning Minister Ahmed Rostom and World Bank metals and minerals director Namrata Thapar discussed a framework for developing Egypt’s mining sector. A proposed roadmap would cover mineral resources and supply chains.

The Cabinet said the October 1 meeting addressed attracting private investment, developing untapped resources and adding value to minerals. Rostom presented these as parts of sustainable economic development.
