Türkiye’s economic confidence index rose from 100.6 in August to 101.3 in September 2026, a monthly increase of 0.7%, TurkStat reported on 29 September. A reading above 100 indicates an optimistic assessment of the general economic situation; a value below 100 indicates a pessimistic one.

The component indicators moved in different directions. Consumer confidence increased 1.3% to 91.9, while manufacturing confidence edged up 0.1% to 102.5. Services remained at 111.9. Retail confidence gained 1.1% to 111.3, whereas construction confidence slipped 0.2% to 83.0.

The composite combines consumer, manufacturing, services, retail-trade and construction confidence measures. Its increase therefore does not mean that every sector improved. It is a survey-based indicator of assessments and expectations, not a direct measure of GDP growth or realised production.
