China’s industrial producer prices rose 3.8% year on year in August
China’s National Bureau of Statistics said the producer price index for industrial products rose 3.8% year on year and 0.4% month on month in August.

The price index for means of production rose 5.0% year on year, while the consumer-goods index fell 0.5%. The industrial producers’ purchasing-price index increased 5.8% year on year.
Within means of production, prices in mining and quarrying rose 17.8% year on year and raw-material prices rose 6.7%. These are producer-price indexes, distinct from wholesale circulation prices.
