On 2 September 2026, Cardinal Infrastructure Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNL) announced that A.L. Grading Contractors (ALGC) has been awarded an approximately $40 million contract to deliver full-site civil infrastructure services for the Walmart Sorting Facility in Carnesville, Georgia. The project covers 164 acres.

Cardinal said ALGC and Allied Paving Contractors will self-perform the work. Allied Paving is the paving company whose acquisition by Cardinal had been announced earlier; as of the 2 September 2026 release, the deal was expected to close in the fourth quarter. The scope includes mass grading of 1.8 million cubic yards, 54,000 linear feet of storm, sewer and water utility work, a 1.5 million-square-foot building pad, fine grading for asphalt and concrete paving, and 83,000 yards of asphalt paving.

Cardinal’s chief operating officer said the project is part of a significant investment in Georgia that will bring more than 1,000 jobs to the area. The release does not give start or completion dates for the work.
