IBGE’s September estimate put Brazil’s 2026 output of cereals, legumes and oilseeds at a record 354.5 million tonnes. The estimate was 0.4% above August and 2.4% above the 2025 crop; projected harvested area rose 2% year over year.

The estimate was revised up from 352.9 million tonnes reported in August. The monthly LSPA tracks planted area, output and average yield, and can be updated as the crop year advances.

This is a production estimate for calendar 2026, not a final harvest tally. IBGE’s measure covers cereals, legumes and oilseeds and should not be conflated with other crop groups.
