Brazil deployed more than 321,000 personnel for first-round election security

Brazil’s Ministry of Justice and Public Security published the final balance of integrated security operations for the first round of the 2026 elections on October 5. The National Integrated Command and Control Center monitored the vote on October 3 and 4 together with state centers.

The ministry reported 321,352 personnel, 34,625 vehicles, 239 boats and 121 aircraft across the forces. Operations recorded 190 arrests in flagrante delicto and 203 incident reports. These figures describe the operational tally, not final court findings.
