BHP awards Worley study and EPCM work for South Australian copper projects

BHP awarded Worley study and engineering, procurement and construction management services for expansion projects at Olympic Dam and Carrapateena. The projects remain subject to BHP final investment decisions, while initial early-phase EPCM activities have started.

The scope covers underground mining, processing and associated infrastructure, delivered by Australian teams with international engineering support. EPCM is a construction management services model; the announcement does not constitute an unconditional turnkey EPC award for the entire developments.
