Azerbaijan transport and storage services rise 10% in real terms
Freight reached 183.1 million tonnes and passenger trips 1.77 billion in January–September.

Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee said transport and storage services were worth AZN 12,816.6 million at current prices in January–September 2026. The value of services rose 10.0% in real terms from the same period a year earlier. Freight transport accounted for AZN 7,652.2 million, passenger transport for AZN 3,495.5 million, and storage and postal services for AZN 1,668.9 million.
Freight carried in the country increased 3.0% year on year to 183.1 million tonnes. Road carried 63.5% of the total, pipelines 25.1%, rail 7.6%, sea 3.6% and air 0.2%. Passenger trips rose 9.7% to 1,771.3 million; the source reports this as trips.
