The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has approved new service fees for payment systems. Under a board decision dated 15 September, maximum fees for AZIPS and the Low Value Payments Clearing and Settlement System will be cut by factors of two and 1.5, respectively, while fees per settlement session will be harmonised across systems.
The new model sets fixed charges by transaction-value brackets regardless of time of day. Fees for the 24/7 Instant Payments System will be lower than those for other systems, and the Interbank Card Centre will receive tariffs for processing card-to-card transfers. The new fees take effect on 1 April 2027.
